Indian BSNL Determined to Launch 5G Service: The state-owned telecom company, Indian BSNL, has started working on 5G technology despite a long wait for approval from the government to get the 4G spectrum. BSNL India’s Twitter handle confirmed the move in a tweet this afternoon.
Currently, the company is providing only 3G and 4G internet services across the country so that everyone can access high-speed internet. BSNL India Chairman and Managing Director Anupam Srivastava said in a statement that 5G technology will connect 50% of the Indian population with high-speed technology.
The company said 5G technology will revolutionize the country’s digital assets and people’s lives efficiently. The Chairman of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited said that the company has kept all the necessary equipment ready for 4G, but we need only one spectrum to enable this technology which is very essential to upgrade our software.
As you know, Jio is the first Indian telecom company to launch 4G service in its early hours. So, to deal with market competition, other companies started working on 4G technology and some of them are providing cheap 4G plans with high-speed internet.
The company’s Managing Director Anupam Srivastava also said that 50% of the country’s population is still unaware of smartphones and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited can benefit from it. Now, how will BSNL 5G service operate in the market and will they be able to meet the dreams and demands of the people?
